This program is specifically made to (re)start and stop other software on you computer. If special care is not taken this can result to the loss of data. An example is if you were to sett Process Tsar to close notepad while you had an unsaved document written in it, notepad would then be closed and you document lost.
So save you data and take great care before using Process Tsar, specially before you get used to this software. Solid-Programs takes no responsibility for any data loss that can happen due to careless use of the software Process Tsar, so be careful.
Is a small Shareware program to (re)start and stop other programs. If you have a program that keeps shutting down on you PC/server and you need it to run constantly, you can tell Process Tsar to restart it every time it crashes.
You may test Process Tsar free of charge for 30days, after that you must pay a one time fee of 25 dollar US to continue using it.
You can follow the link in Process Tsar or go to Solid-Programs.com, we use the third party service kagi.com. When you payment has been registered you will receive an email with the registration/activation information, time for delivery is typically between 12-48hours.

If this box is checked Process Tsar will start automatically when windows starts/restarts.
This is how often Process Tsar is to check if the monitored programs are running or not. The lower this number is the quicker Process Tsar is to act. But it is also less and less tolerant with a slow computer, and it will draw more resources the lower you set this number. A recommended value is between 2 and 10 seconds.
There is a good chance that you system at one time or another will be so slow that Process Tsar will “think” it has failed to restart/stop a program and try again. This will stop it from running more than one version of a program at a time.
So if you do not absolutely need more than one version of a program running at a time it is highly recommended you have this box remain checked.
This is how much time the system gets to start/close a program. If it is too low Process Tsar will start more than one instance when re-starting a program, if it is too high there could be an unnecessary long wait before the program is running again.
A value of about 60-120sec is recommended.
Checking this box will start a second hidden version of Process Tsar that will restart Process Tsar if it should crash or close unexpectedly.
If you check this box, Process Tsars actions will be written to a log-file. That is when is re-starts or closes a program. The log file can be viewed by clicking on the “View log” button.
Using the text box's on lower right in advanced view you can enter a programs data manually.
This is the text displayed on top of a window, it's name.
Only the filename, excluding the file path/directory.
This is the full path including filename of the program that you wish to control.
Do nothing – The program will be added to the list of “Monitored processes” (above), and you can see if it is running or not. Process Tsar will not attempt to restart or stop this program.
Close now! - Automatically closes a program when it is detected as running in the “Monitored processes” list (above).
Start now! - Automatically restarts a program when it is detected as not running in the “Monitored processes” list (above).
It is absolutely essential that there are no warning boxes a user has to click off when a program starts, if that program is to be started by Process Tsar.
There are many reasons for user input being required during a programs startup, one example Process Tsar shows a registration information box until the program is registered. A more common hurdle is the User Account Control (UAC) in Windows Vista, 7 and similar Microsoft systems. Bellow we will discuss how to circumvent the UAC.
Another external method of getting around startup warnings is a program like Click Off, this will automatically close warning dialogs.
Warning: UAC is part of Microsoft's security system in it's newer windows types, so turning it of could make you computer easier pray for hackers, viruses and other malicious influences. More information is given in windows if you try to turn UAC off.
1. Start Control panel (from the start menu).
2. Type in “user account control” (enter), in the search field (upper right).
3. Click “Turn User Account Control (UAC) on or off”.
4. Unselect "use user account Control (UAC)”.
5. Click the OK button.
6. Now you'll probably be instructed to restart you computer, do so.
That's it UAC should now be disabled.
1. Start the program giving you the UAC warning.
2. A window named “User Account Control” will open, containing text simular to this “Do you want to allow the following program to make changes to this computer?”.
3. Click on “Change when these notifications apeare”.
4. A new window opens: “User Account Control Settings”, select “Never notify”. Click OK.
5. Now you'll probably be instructed to restart you computer, do so.
